It is absolutely necessary that there be a level playing field for all players in this industry. That playing field is usually established through ethical business practices, which should include reasonable disclosures and consumer protections. However, in this industry a seven day waiting period, as presented is just not reasonable. It is not even a decent business practice, since all consumers are protected by individual state ordinances. The recommended financial disclosures and references in a seven day period preclude consumer common sense. Let the buyer beware, or be ignorant! We have policed our business practices consistently for 25 years. We fail to understand why the FTC wants to get involved now. If conditions were really that bad wouldn't they have been discovered years ago?
