To whom it may concern: I have just received information regarding the rule change for Direct-Selling companies. I am, quite frankly, ecstatic that the FTC would actually consider clamping down on companies that give companies I affiliate with a 'bad' name. I have two points to make: First, I have been affiliated with Alticor and related companies for 20 years as of August 2006. In my line of sponsorship, WWDB, I have never seen or heard of any misrepresentation regarding this opportunity in any way, shape, or form. When, we, as business builders, present this opportunity to individuals, we are offering them an opportunity...an opportunity to learn how to even own a company...something they may have never seen in their lives. We are not offering 'get rich quick'. We are offering a lifestyle; an opportunity to have the 'whole' package; an opportunity to have time and money in cohesion. We are life trainers. People normally pay a tremendous fee for services such as these. The fee we ask an individual to invest is 'time.' What is the most valuable commodity in the world??? TIME!!! What is the most difficult thing in the world for someone to give??? TIME!!! We see it all around us, in our schools, in our living rooms, at our dining tables. I have made money in my business. I have not made as much as some and I have made more than others. I have used this business as a springboard into other ventures. I have not made as much as some in those ventures and I have made more than others. I am fully self-employed, today. When I was employed by others, the reason I excelled was because of the principles I learned in this opportunity. Second, my business works because I work it!!! Does it take time??? YES!!! Is it worth it??? YES!!! I could not imagine what my lifestyle would be today without the rewards and guidance I have received in this opportunity. When everyone else is driving to work in the morning, I am running for an espresso. When they are eating lunch, I am eating breakfast!!! How many other parents do I see at my kids' school??? 1 or 2??? How many people have said, "No!"??? A bunch!!! To put waiting periods for disclosures, names of people involved (I would be hard pressed to find 10 committed in the area I live in), and lawsuits the company was involved in on the table would be inappropriate. We already have a challenge with commitment in our country, with accountability, with even the ability to make a simple decision! I would hesitate, strongly, to put the government in the driver's seat for the realization of someone else's dream. This business cuts the wheat from the chaff! Do you know how to perform in the marketplace? Are you willing to be rejected? Do you have the guts to stand up for what you believe in? Would you die for the freedom you enjoy, like so many have???
