As a business owner, I applaud the FTC's goal of ensuring that every prospect considering a business opportunity has all the information he or she needs to make an educated decision. I support the position that every prospect should have the information needed to make an informed decision. However, I feel the proposal is off the mark, containing some provisions that would place crippling burdens on every Quixtar independent business without benefiting prospects in the least. I am strongly against specific provisions of the FTC proposal that would penalize honest Independent Business Owners, such as myself, and cripple our sponsoring efforts. I am grateful that someone shared the Quixtar business opportunity with me and my husband. The changes it has made in our lives and our children's lives is unmeasurable! If these same provisions which are currently proposed by the FTC were in place when I was a prospect, I am quite certain I would not have registered with Quixtar and began my independent business. It saddens me to think of how many people might miss this wonderful business opportunity because of the provisions which are proposed by the FTC. Please reconsider the proposed rules. Don't cripple those of us who are honest IBOs sharing an incredible business opportunity with many people (such as myself) who can change their life as well as the lives of their families for the better and may not do so because of the proposed provisions that will not benefit these prospects in the least. Sincerely, A. Herron
