My husband and I are independent business owners of Quixtar based in Grand Rapids, MI. I am writing to ask that you not make proposed regulations so stringent. We are very happy with the set-up of the organization, with the team members we are associated with, and with the integrity of the company as a whole. We are not afraid of disclosures--it is just that disclosing salaries and such is not really necessary to the success or failure of any given person. We are just starting out. Obviously, our income is not impressive enough to draw huge numbers of people to our organization. But we know people who have been very successful in this business and it is evident in their lifestyles. People like me and my husband see economic potential through the supportive systems in place. These new regulations would make expansion difficult and add a burden to already busy lives. We work full time and manage our business. We do not think more regulation would make unhappy people happy or happy people happier. We also know that the sooner people start in this business, the sooner they will succeed. Our organization does not require much from people who register as independent business owners and it gives much in the way of business and technical support. More regulation is really not necessary. Thank you, Dawn Klock, Quixtar Independent Business Owner.
