To the Powers that be, My name is Travis Rassett and I am a Network Marketer. I have been involved for just over 8 months and I have experienced worlds of personal growth as a result. Areas I was squeamish about entering (sales, public speaking, wearing a tie!) have become a second home, all because of the possibility of becoming something greater than a job could provide. Business is where I intend to make my living and it is where I feel we as a society are driven to. Finding and working a job is not a mental leap for me, I am not challenged and a great deal of my potential is capped off. I am 20 years old, this presents an obstacle in any sales endeavor but as I try I learn more. I have as much potential as I do enthusiasm for my future as a network marketer. My cognitive frame work has been realigned to this person to person business model from a mere 8 months! I can only dream where I will be in a few short years. This proposed law, at its core, is very thoughtful. It would do a service to stopping some of these not so truthful businesses that are giving this person to person market such a bad name. The few bad apples should not be enough to spoil this entire bunch though, many people, myself included have put forth amazing amounts of effort to build a business out of this model. A model that companies like Avon or Mary Kay have been using with success and legitimacy for a long while. There are sharks in every faction of life, we must be aware of this and take responsibility for our own, not burden the many. We are a capitalistic society, and as so we should act. We are soon to be wiped off this global map of trade by countries who impose less regulation and more responsibility. When I am looking at retirement in my later years I truly hope its from my years of building a business and not from years of working for someone else's. If this could be reworked to help both parties without undue amounts of burdensome regulation our system would be secure and profitable. Thank you for not passing Business Opportunity Rule, R511993. Sincerely, Travis Rassett, XanGo 1K
