I am a Quixtar IBO and my husband have been associated with Quixtar and our business group since the beginning in September of 1999. Our referring person as well as the entire business team and Quixtar have always been above reproach and completely honest in all actions associated with our business. Since beginning our business we have 2 children and I have been able to quit my job and stay home with them. We intend to continue to build our Quixtar business till it completely replaces both incomes and we hve freedom to pursue other area of interest. We have benefited more than just monetarily. Our best friends are from the business and we have learned how to be better people because of the principles taught and lived by this business. When we registered we were told that this was not get rich quick and required hard work. This is a statement we continue to share today with all prospective IBO's before they register as IBO's. The average income is clearly indicated on all literature and even on the Quixtar website. We knew what we getting involved with and made what we felt to be an informed decision to start our business. The other thing is that we were told up front and we continue to tell others is that if the business isn't working for you, you may receive a full refund within 6 months. We are not interested in "signing" people up as there is no money in it and I am glad there isn't. We get paid when we sell products just like any other business. Our new IBO's spend about $170 to be registered with Quixtar and receive a sample product pack. Again they can receive all that back if not satisfied. I do not agree with the 7 day waiting period because of the fast growth of this business and how much it would slow down the process. We don't push anyone to make a quick decision. In fact our business group teaches a 3 step decision making process before they ever sign up to be completely sure of what they are doing. I believe that time should be left up to the IBO's and prospective IBO's. The sooner people can begin to create volume in their business the more confident they become that they can build this business. This waiting period would really put a damper on that. And really they already have a 6 month trial period built in with Quixtar's return policy. So there is already a no risk factor built in. Our business group has a weekly class in which we can invite guests to see the business presentation. This is for two purposes and we are very open about this. The first is to see the details of the business the second is to meet the business team. By doing this we more than cover the new person meeting 10 IBO's as the proposed rule says. We tell them that we want them to be comfortable with the people they will be in business with if they choose. I also would not want people giving my name and number out and invading my privacy. While we would never think of "stealing" prospective IBO's from other people, there are some who don't have the same integrity and this would hurt business. I don't believe it is correct to require a business owner to tell of all litigation that has taken place. I don't see any other store posting all litiagation against them up in their store. This information can be made available upon request I guess, but I don't see the need for it especially in such a time that we live where people seem to sue for any little thing. The last item is about financial disclosure. We have had people ask us how much we make in the business. We do not disclose how much we make because we feel it is an invasion of privacy. People don't go around asking how much they make at work and it is the same in business. We do tell them what level we are currently at in the business and by looking at that they can speculate and estimate about how much we are currently making. Financial disclosure is personal and allowing anyone to look at it is an invasion of my privacy I hope this helps.
