Comments:

I would like to express some of my opinions about the proposed regulations on business opportunities. I have been a Quixtar IBO for 4 months and have thoroughly enjoyed my experience thus far. Upon entering the business I was informed of the different ways to earn income and that it would not happen if I was not willing to put forth effort and work for it. I have read through the proposal and there are 3 main points to the regulations that would hinder my career as an IBO. 1-The proposed 7day waiting period would severly hinder me or any other IBO from registering new IBOs in the business. Our company has incentives for IBOs who are able to share the opportunity and sponsor a team in a short period of time. By imposing a 7day waiting period, I would no longer be able to take advantage of an added benefit of my business, nor would I be able to pass this opportunity along to my partners. The 7day rule should be eliminated. 2-The requirement to give names and numbers of 10 references in the business is an invasion of countless IBOs privacy. In addition, our business is not a "get rich quick" opportunity and more than likely, the first 10 people I would be referencing are not making thousands of dollars yet. I don't see how handing over a list of names is going substantiate my business when I am proving our plan works by explaining every detail and aspect to prospective IBOs. This requirement for 10 references should also be eliminated. 3-My final recommendation for the new proposal is to abolish the income disclosure requirement. I do not want every new person I meet and sponsor in my business to know exactly what I am making. I do not dislose my income to anyone unless it is time to do my taxes or I am applying for a loan. By allowing every person I meet to know my income is pointless in my line of business because I can make more than my sponsors and my sponsored can make more than me. Each IBOs income is going to reflect the amount of effort they are putting into their business. It would not be an accurate measure of our business opportunity to require income disclosures from each sponsor. The income disclosure statement should also be eliminated. Thank you for your time. I hope that my comments are heard and accounted for so that my independently owned business can flourish in the future. Lisa Earls
