Please be advised that, in our opinion, there are a few changes that need to be reconsidered in your proposed ruling about home businesses Business Opportunity Rule. We do agree that there should be some guidelines, but what you are suggesting needs some fine tuning. Like the 7 day waiting period. We offer the money back guarantee. Giving out the references of other IBOs, we actually introduce them to other IBOs that they can meet and talk with. Having to give out a list of others in the business could eventually cause some conflicts in the business, simply due to where the person sign is signed up within the structure of our business. Disclosure of my income? When you go to a job or potential franchise interview, the person interviewing does not tell you what they make, and we should not be asked to disclose what we make. Just as we do now, we tell you what the AVERAGE, ACTIVE IBO in this position makes and we stress this, explaining that if you don't work your business as a REAL business that you will not make money, just as in any legitimate business. As for giving out the information on law suits... this is public record for one thing, and for another, this would open the door for anyone going in and making all kinds of accusations against a company, falsely, just to try to make a business look like a bad investment company. Just as anyone could make any kind of false accusations against you personally and try to make you look like a bad person, when in fact they are all false accusations, just because they don't like you. This portion of your proposition needs some fine tuning. As we all know, Good reports about a company never go to court. So, any law suits, fraudulent or otherwise would be the only thing that would be on this kind of record, while all the good a company is doing would never be reported in this avenue. With these fraudulent suits being already a matter of public information, I wouldn't see why such a list would be needed. When my husband and I joined Quixtar, I checked out the company and we were totally satisfied with information we found. There are positives and negatives in every company, from McDonald's on to the home businesses. Quixtar was presented to us as a REAL business, and not a get rich scheme, which is exactly what we have. There are no magical potions to make money, only REAL work, as in any business. You make money, depending on how you actually work your business. If you do not work in your business, you make no money, just as in any business, and we tell our prospect this from the very first. If you focus on your business, be honest with the prospects you talk to, and tell them what opportunity there is within the business, yes, your business grows, just like any other legitimate business. ALL with a money back guarantee from the Quixtar company. We've been with the company for three years and are very satisfied with the opportunity they have provided us. Our business has grown in proportion to the work we have done. Again, the more we work in our business, the more it grows. This is not a get rich scheme, and we tell everyone this up front. This is not a pyramid, and we are very clear on this. Please do not put such restrictions on real companies, while you are focusing in on these bogus companies, that it hurts the real honest Independent Business Owners. I do agree that the public needs to be informed about the bogus companies, so that they are not taken. But, don't hurt our REAL businesses in doing so. Quixtar is a reputable company and we are working hard to build our business, as are many other IBOs in this company. Please be careful as you work on this proposed ruling, not to hurt the legitimate, hardworking home based businesses. We do actually exist. And this is the sole income for many of our people who are honest hard working Independent Business Owners. Thank you for your time in reading my opinion.
