I agree with Quixtar's recommendations and the Independant Business Owner's Association International with regards to the proposed rule for U.S. business opportunities. I know for my own family that the Quixtar business has been the best thing that could happen to my family financially. I am self-employed and I work very hard to support my family of 5 very small children, but with the economy changing as it is, it is becoming increasingly difficult to support my family in an honorable manner without assistance from the state. I do agree that the proposed rule should create a level playing field for ALL businesses by requiring clear, yet simple and standardized income disclosures that would apply to ALL direct sellers. I also do agree that the proposed rule should provide a reasonable cancellation policy, however, I do not agree that the proposed rule should require a 7 day waiting period before a new prospect may register. I do not agree that the new rule should require references to be provided to new prospects. I do not agree that the new rule should require financial records to be disclosed to new prospects. This is my viewpoint of the proposed rule by the FTC for my business. I have researched different direct selling business models, and Quixtar is the most sound, ethical, and successful model I have seen. We are making no effort to deceive, cheat, or mislead anyone, and should not be affected by a rule designed to eliminate get-rich-quick schemes or dishonest business models. Once again, my entire family loves our business, and we view it as our only vehicle to financial independence, and we are working hard to make that happen for our family and for those we love. Please do not make the building of our business more difficult with unnecessary hoops to jump through. Those who try to cheat others should be punished, but those who endeavor to help others be all that they can be should be encouraged and rewarded.
