I have been a Quixtar Independent Business Owner since Quixtar started in September of 1999. Before that we were Amway distributors (since 1993). This business has been invaluable to me and my family. We do not make a lot of money from the buisness, but this buisness is worth my effort. When this business was presented to us it was presented as a business. That is, it was not presented as a get rich quick scheme. It takes effort and consistency. All income claims were valid and the income plan was very understandable. I am so glad we were not forced to wait 7 days to register. Also, we did not need references from other business owners. Other business owners were available and we talked with several. I do not have the right to give out other buisness owners private information. Also, there is the risk one of these other buisness owners could sponsor my prospect. Anyone who wants to make an informed decision already can make an informed decision. Those who think that you can get wealthy without working hard are the ones who won't check something out thoroughly. No amount of rules or regulations will change that. Plus, if a company is not honest, they will just make up stuff that makes them look good. I think your desire to reign in scams is comendable, but this proposal will only hurt those of us who are associated with a reputable company and build our buisness with integrity.
