I have been an IBO for more than 8 years. My business is profitable and flourishing. When I started my business the information provided by the team was more than sufficient to make an educated decision on starting my own business. I was able to decide and schedule a time and date of registration as an IBO and I was never pressured into purchasing anything unlike other businesses and franchinses I had looked at previously who wanted up front down payments. I knew the team and business system had been around for many years so I never had any concern whether or not they we a real business unlike the so called retail business that comes and goes opening and closing in my local mall and strip plazas. As an IBO I believe that this type of business is profitable and educational. Our IBO's who have been educated in people skills and ethical business practice have created successful business and successful lives. This is the only system I've seen that not only promotes Free Enterprise but Integrity, Honesty, Moral and Ethical Practices in Business and IN LIFE!!!! the proposed FTC rules should be applicable to all business if passed. Wal Mart should have to supply it's customers with a list of lawsuits and arbitration filed against them in the last ten years also every retail outlet should have to provide a list of references mailed to anyone who shops in their establishment. If these proposed rules and changes are good for one business they should be applicalble to all business otherwise they need to be reconsidered, revised and/or discarded. I've looked at other opportunities and franchises and was not provided with the type of information or references that are being proposed by the FTC to be imposed upon Quixtar IBO's. Fair or Unfair may not be relevant however Right and Wrong are. I live in a country that was founded on Freedom and Free Enterprise where anyone who had a viable product could market it for a profit and compete in the market place against others who had a viable product. As I tap out this letter today July 4, 2006 our friends and family are still fighting and dying today to maintain the freedom that not so long ago our founding fathers made a decision to create one nation under GOD that would free it's people from slavery and tyrany and give us a choice of how we would choose to conduct our lives and our business that it would so benefit those who live today but more importantly give hope to future generations of lives filled with even greater reward for their efforts in business and in life. I choose FREEDOM over communism and socialism and I desire that a future of Freedom and Choice is available for my children and others to enjoy the fruits of their labor. The future of our country and communities is built on hope. Remember LifeLiberty and the Pursuit of Hapiness. This is Hope! if the proposed FTC rules are good for one business and business opportunity then they should be good for all business and business opprortunies alike. If they are not they need to be revised or discarded. Ask yourself in all you do and every decision you make.....Would God bless me for what I'm about to do? Sincerely, Joseph A. Flora Jr.
