I am concerned about the proposed Business Opportunity Rule R511993. Much discussion has taken place among direct sales consultants and we find that the affects of this rule could be detrimental to our home-based businesses. I do understand the need to protect unknowing consumers from fly by night businesses and pyramid schemes, but Tastefully Simple and other like businesses are far from such. Some of the segments of Rule RS11993 will make it difficult for new entrepeneurs to start their own direct sales consultantships and shed a negative and unfair light on companies of the DSA.
