Dear Sir/Ma'am, My name is Dustin and I have been a Quixtar IBO for over 3 years. I got involved with this company because of quality products and service of course but, more importantly I got involved because of the quality and integrity of the people that I am working with. I have been able to compile an income aside from my 9-5 job that has helped me in situations that me and my family have encountered; this was my goal in the beginning and it continues to be my goal. I and everyone that I am aware of achieve these personal goals by representing themselves, our contracting corporation and our personal business with honesty and integrity (this is the only way to successfully run a business). I treat my business partners with equality and as "business partners", and I service my clients with honesty and with real solutions to real life - everyday issues. I enjoy the interaction and relationship that I have built with my partners and clients alike. This being said, I would like to applaud the attempt of the FTC to "weed" out the many schemes and pyramids out there and make way for honest hardworking people that are willing to put in additional effort in a business of there own and achieve goals unattainable through thier current situation. There are however some distinct problems with the current proposed ruling: 1.) The 7 day waiting period is a totally uneeded and tedious rule that would benefit noone and hold back many. We are a quick moving business that moves with momentum and for new people looking to get a running start right away would prove a frustrating and annoying experience. We pride ourselves on simplicity and integrity, so while I agree that a person needs to be sure of what business they are partnering with, 7 days is not needed since this is one thing that true businesses will make sure of in the front end. Not only that but we have a distinct money back guarantee for anybody that would like to go that route. 2.) The rule to provide references is also a very futile rule. Not only does this break down the lines of sponsorship but it also, again, for new people would provide a significant hurdle because of the fact that when they are first introduced to the opporunity they do not know anyone except for the future business partner. I ask, what would this prove? It would be like a requirement to talk to ten people from a company prior to accepting a job with them. This is one rule that would in no way hinder schemes - only hold back honest business. 3.) The litigation list for the proposed opportunity would again be a rule hopscotched by schemes. What company does not have rulings against them. This would provide a very negative connotation to a new prospect. This is information I encourage every new prospect to search out in the beginning before registering. If they have questions I am sure to address them prior to moving forward; if a person thinks something is awry they will not produce so why would a business owner such as me not bring these things to light? 4.) As far as income disclosures I feel as though this should be a choice of the individual business owner, and a smart one for that matter. Income in this business is very easy to figure out and again misleading someone in the beginning is not a move that would lead to productivity. I am always sure to share with the prospect what is possible, what it takes and where I am - I dont feel as though this is a step that can be overlooked, a rule in place or not. Bottom line I strongly feel as though this new ruling will seriously hinder honest business and not do much to control dishonest and illegal schemes at all. This business touches lives and truely helps people in their everyday lives. Please seriously consider how this new rule could affect honest people that are running their own business to make ends meet and make a real difference in other peoples lives. ~Thank you for your time and consideration.
