I have been an IBO for 3.5 years and this business has totally changed my life. The changes that you propose are not very well thought out and would hurt our business. I probably would not have gotten started if these laws were passes. When I got started I had plenty of information to know about this business and we have even more now! We let everyone know that it is not a get rich quick scheme. We show a 2-5 year plan that could produce a 2-3K income if you follow a proven system. Our start up is 271 and as far as I know they could potential get a full refund. I have yet to have anyone ask for that. The 7 day period is not a very good idea. I got started with in 2 days and if I had longer I might have talk myself out. We never push anyone to get started but if they want why should they not start growing their business right away if they are excited? The ligitation list also makes no sense to me. I know anyone could file a suit and this could be a black mark against the company. The person might not have did anything but wanted a get rich quick scheme and was dissapointed when he wasn't a millionaire in 4 days. These are the people who hurt this business and when they want out we can give them a full refund! The income detail would also be very misleading to the new prospect. Just because we could show them a 5k check doesn't mean that they will earn it or if we show them a $6 and we have been in for 2 years doesn't mean that they will earn that. It's all up to each individual person. I was an IBO back in 1999 and thought I would ever make it so I quit and was introduce again in 2003, I thank God everyday for that and if these changes would have been in force I know I would not have gotten started. Thanks to this idea I sold 2 business that I have owned and am working to get my wife out of her job which should happen in about 6 - 8 months. I will ask that these rules are not inforced. I hope there is a way to get rid of the schemes and scams out there because they do hurt this business, but I think there could be a way to get it done without hurting all the real businesses out there. I appreciate everything that you do for this business and hope that we can all work together to fix this problem. If it wasnt' for the FTC we could not practice this business. Thank you! Mark Allgeyer
