Comments:
This business is my own independent business which is carefully regulated by the IBOAC. I am in business for myself and my family but I am NOT in business by myself. We have been investigated by numerous Attorney Generals and have proven ourselves to be legitimate and in the best interest of those seeking to own their own businesses; and our standing with the Better Business Bureau is excellent. You are seeking to compare apples with oranges. This bill should not be punitive to those legitimate network marketing businesses such as that which is powered by Quixtar. This rule SHOULD create a level playing field by requiring clear, simple, standardized income disclosures that apply to all direct sellers--It SHOULD N0T require personal financial records be disclosed to prospects. It SHOULD NOT require IBO references be provided to prospects. I feel that is already being done when Prospects are introduced to a TEAM of IBO's and are openly invited to meet all of that group as well as other lines of sponsorship. It concerns me that you would prohibit prospects from registering as and IBO until 7 days after they have received a disclosure document. That is prohibiting them from starting their business if that is why they are doing this in the first place. The FTC appears to be casting a very broad net in an effort to control "fly-by-night" organizations and in so doing are hurting the legitimate businesses such as Quixtar. It is my extreme hope that this will not happen. Free Enterprise which was part of the foundation of this great country should not be stiffled by governmental control. It then becomes another govermentally controlled entity which means to much "big brother". Should Free Enterprise be stringently controlled then what is next? Less Government IS more! SHOULD provide a reasonable cancellation policy
