Your current proposal will limit my opportunities by REQUIRING a waiting period. I do not have to wait to make other purchases so why would this be a requirement for this business. I feel that Quixtar does a very good job of revealing facts to allow anyone interested to make an informed decision. With the availablility of information on the internet and other venues, those purchasing can make a reasonable decision without this government agency requiring tedious paperwork. Revealing my income information seems to be a breach of my confidentiality. The grocery store does not need to know my credit limit or income level prior to me purchasing, so why would this be necessary for Quixtar? If the prospective client needs more information then what is provided on the materials, he/she can inquire or attend an educational seminar. Since this business is generally done within a community of acquaintences, references should also not be a requirement. The prospective client has the opportunity and is encouraged to meet, in person, others in the business. If the customer is unhappy with their decision, they can get their money back without conflict. I would not expect any business to give me the names and addresses of successful competitors. Doing so might compromise my ability to be successful. This business requires a very small amount of start up money and these restrictions by the FTC seem to be aimed at restricting my ability to better myself rather than helping me make a better decision. Though I applaud the Commission's desire to protect me, I think these rules will only serve to hamper my opportunities. I have found this business to be honest and open with information. All businesses want to give the best information possible to their prospective clients and I have always felt that Quixtar gave a realistic picture. This business has allowed me to pursue additional income without the burdens of a lot of paperwork, rules and restrictions. I ask you to please reconsider your proposal.
