Re: Business Opportunity Rule, R511993 600 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW Washington, DC 20580 RE: Business Opportunity Rule, R511993 Dear Sir or Madam: I am writing this letter because I am concerned about the proposed Business Opportunity Rule R511993. I believe that in its presented form, it could prevent me from continuing as a Successful Independent XanGo Distributor, and devastate the small business I have worked so very hard to build and operate, as well as devastating all the of people I have helped to build their small businesses. I have been an Independent XanGo Distributor for over 19 months. I started this small business because, I love the products and wanted to share it with my friends and family. I'm now currently working full time at another business. Because of Xango I,m able to spend less time away from home at my other business. I,m working to reach my goal of being able to work full time at home with my Xango business. To be able to spend more time with my wife Kara and my 16 year old son Shay. To under stand how important this is to me you have to know that my father served in the Marine Corp. and was away most my childhood. So when my son was born I promised not to not be there. But life some times has different plans. I have found my self away all most as much as my father. So when I found Xango it gave me a vehicle that inable me to earn a good living. Also allowing me to spend what little time I have left with my son before he leaves home and starts his own life. As well as the people that join my organization each person has there own reason for joining,there own dream,hope or disire. Xango levels the playing field so that anybody willing to work at it can go as far as they want. Some of the sections in the proposed rule would make it hard or almost impossible for me to sell my XanGo product under the proposed rules. Sharing this incredible opportunity with other families would be most difficult if not impossible if the present rules were to be changed. The purposed waiting period will give the public the bad idea that there's something wrong with me or our XanGo business plan and also reflects badly on me. I also think this seven-day waiting period is unnecessary, because XanGo has 30 day a 100% money back guarantee on the product for all new Distributors that were just enrolled. The new enrollee does not even have to send any product back to the company to receive the 100% Refund on the product. One of the most difficult sections of the proposed rule is the seven day waiting period to enroll a new XanGo distributor. People love this product and want to get started sharing it with others right away. This proposed change would create a hardship for all the families involved. They would not be able to get paid in a timely manner and would prevent the efficiency of the pay plan. XanGo's sales kit only costs $35. People buy cars, refrigerators, Air Conditioners and other items that cost much more than that and they don't have to wait seven-days. Under this waiting period requirement, I will need to keep very detailed records when I first speak to someone. I would then have to send in reports to my company. I am a small home business and this burden could literally devastate my business and destroy many other family businesses. Finally, the proposed rule requires the disclosure of a minimum of 10 prior purchasers nearest to the prospective purchaser. I am glad to provide references, but in this day of identity theft, I am very uncomfortable giving out the personal information of individuals (without their approval) to strangers. Women in my organization may be subject to sexual or racial harassment. We have enough problems in this world without adding needlessly to more people being opened to foul play. Also poeple that are new to the business how are they going to have references, it takes time to build up a base to be able have them. Please Prohibit sexual or racial attacks related to this disclosure. In the end the rule must bind the FTC to take direct enforcement action on sexual and racial attacks with a special unit assigned to monitor actions related to the disclosure forms. I have seen many scams on the Internet. This rule will do nothing to stop them. They hurt my business! This rule will not stop Crooks, they violate the current rule all the time. I am proud to be an American Citizen and the proposed rule R511993 would hurt me and my buisness to the point of devastation. Please help me to retain the right to operate my XanGo business and continue to help our friends and family as well. XanGo is a family oriented Company. They really care about us. They have helped put more food on the tables of many American familes around the country. Please do not penalize XanGo and the XanGo distributors for the bad apples that have taken advantage of good American Citizens. . Please remember with free trade in a free society unfortunately there are those that prey on good people.As in many industries (example: music,there is a huge problem with pirating you don't pentilize or cripple the whole industry because of the illeagal actions of a few.) I am a good American citizen and the proposed regulations will hurt me.
