My husband and I were involved with Quixtar (and Amway) over a period of about five years up until about two years ago. We found the people to be very manipulative and deceitful. The piece that ran on Dateline NBC was very accurate and informative. They are definitely not honest in their income claims from Quixtar directly. There is another income source which is the "tool" business where most IBO's lose money and the "bigger pins" actually make about 50% to 75% of their incomes. People are not told this when they register. Only as we progressed further into Quixtar did we realize that this was happening. We also realized that this income could be taken away on a whim by the "upline". This income was only given to people if the upline agreed that they deserved it. This is a huge problem. You can read hundreds of these stories online if you choose to research it. We decided that we are not deceitful people and could no longer associated with this company. I agree with the recommendations that you are proposing to protect further innocent people from being taken by and "brainwashed" by these people. People need to be protected. The Quixtar IBO's will do or say anything to get a person to register as an IBO. Then sign them up on the "tool" program to start making money off them right away. We asked alot of questions when we were first approached about Quixtar/Amway. We were told that the rules do not apply and they do not matter regarding the 10 customers per month. We were told that this rule only applied to Direct Distributors (now called Platinum IBO). This is simply not true. Please I implore to you to stick to your plan and implement these rules and have a system to monitor and enforce them. The Quixtar leaders will manipulate and find a way around the rules as they always do. I would also recommend that ALL IBO's be audited by the IRS for improper deductions being taken. That is what the leadership teaches. Basically that Quixtar is a tax shelter & anything can be deducted including your dog! If it is a watch dog. They recommend deducting cars, houses, expensive watches, jewelry, anything "flashy" that makes it look like you are making tons of money (in Quixtar). We lost approximatey $25,000.00 from being involved with Quixtar/Amway! Much of that in the "tool" business. That what NEEDS to be stopped right away. People need to be told that they are making money off the new IBO right away. Please Please Please --- do not drop this issue. It is so important.
