In response to the proposed FTC guidelines I would like to give a little information about how these items will affect my business. My husband and I have been Quixtar IBOs for over 3 years. We were initially offered this opportunity with very little information and almost nothing to back up the claims. My husband and were excited about the opportunity regardless of lack of information. All of the information we needed could be found on the website. We decided to start our own business right then. We are currently pursuing our financial independence and the new proposals by the FTC will negatively affect my income potential. This country is founded on the principles of free enterprise and there is no business venture that is risk free or that requires a 7 day waiting period to pursue your goals or dreams. There are also no other business ventures that offer a money back guarantee should a business owner be dissatisfied. I disagree with the requirement of references, especially in the case of new IBOs that do not live in the same town as I. How could I possibly provide a list of other IBO’s in a town where I don’t reside? I would also not like to ask my business partners for their personal information to give to someone who is unknown to them, it could potentially be unsafe and infringes on their privacy. I completely disagree with the proposal to provide information regarding all lawsuits, arbitrations and other accusations against Quixtar or IBO’s. Every company is subject to lawsuits, complaints and unsatisfied customers or business partners. As a business owner myself, it is my responsibility to do research on Quixtar and the opportunity. It is my responsibility to judge positive or negative information and make a decision I am comfortable with. Traditional companies in this country are not required to disclose every lawsuit they’ve been party to in order to pursue new business and neither should we. I also disagree with providing my income information to prospective business partners (IBOs). That is personal information I think should be shared on a case by case basis, as determined by each IBO. Thank you for your attention to this. Janice Greenley & Carl Greenley
