I am a small business owner (direct/ network marketer) working 2 businesses as my source of income, and working from home. Respectfully, I see no need for a change in the regulations regarding the industry I am so proud of. Some people join our industry based on an emotional decison, and quit the same way. My industry, and America indeed are about opportunity, NOT guaranty of results. Sadly, many who join our industry never take the time to learn their product or service, and never actually go to work at it. They then proceed to blame everyone and everything for their failures, without looking at the source of the problem: the face in the mirror. Now as an aging baby boomer, I am probably the only one who would hire me. So, appreciate my business independence, and hope you consider that the vast majority of us are honest, hardworking business people who just want to be left alone to create an income for ourselves, and add to the economy of this great nation. In any industry there can be aberrant behavior from time to time ie.: MCI/WorldCOM or Enron. We have laws to deal with such corruption. But adding additonal layers of regulation to the direct sales industry will, I respectfully submit, have the potential to slow down business growth, and hurt the majority of us, because of the occasional bad apple. Thank you for your consideration.
