I am concerned about the proposed Business Opportunity Rule R511993. In its present form, this rule may very well prevent me from successfully operating my business as a direct seller of Tastefully Simple products. While I understand (and agree with) your mission to protect the public from unfair and deceptive acts or practices, this rule would severely limit honest and reputable people from building their businesses in an effective manner. Some of the sections in the proposed rule will make it very difficult for me to sell Tastefully Simple products and help others start Tastefully Simple businesses of their own. With ANY business or industry there will be those few who are unethical. By and large, direct sellers are ethical, hard-working inviduals who are very honest and truthful in representing the business opportunity their affiliated company offers. Tastefully Simple adheres to the highest standards. Speaking for myself and my team of over 30 consultants, we are very honest and straightforward with potential team members and in all aspects of our businesses. It truly is in EVERYONE's best interest to be completely honest and realistic about what a company has to offer. That is why we, at Tastefully Simple, train our consultants to conduct their businesses adhering to the highest ethical standards. Please don't allow the minority of dishonest and deceptive individuals to cause changes in rules that will make it difficult for the rest of us. America has always been known as the land of opportunity. Please protect the direct sales opportunity in a manner that does not hurt the industry and the true opportunity it has to offer.
