Dear Sir or Madam: I am writing this letter because I am concerned about the proposed Business Opportunity Rule R511993. I believe that in it's presented form, it would prevent me from continuing as a Successful Independent XanGo Distributor, and devastate the small business I have worked so very hard to build and operate, as well as devastating all the hundreds of people I have helped to build their small businesses. I have been an Independent XanGo Distuributor for over 12 months. I started this business because I was looking for something to add to my income to help support my family. I work in the construction field and my job is phyically demanding. I am the sole provider for my wife and two adopted children. It is hard enough to make ends meet and still build up a retirement for my kids education and well being. I have found the XanGo product to really help me, and have shared it with others. I have been able to start other families in thier own business now and changed thier lives and future. Please do not devastate the small business's our families have all worked so hard to build. We need this business to survive ! Some of the sections in the rule would make it impossible for me to sell my XanGo product under the proposed rules. The waiting period will give the public a bad idea that something is wrong with my business. Because XanGo already has a 90% buyback policy for all the products including sales kits and the 30 day 100% money back guarantee on the product for new Distuibuter, a person will be satisfied with thier decision. The most difficult secition of the proposed rule is the seven day waiting period. People want to share the product and opportunity with others right away and this proposed change would create a hardship for all families involved. I have paid for memberships to many places like Sam's Club, Health Clubs and others. The XanGo sales Kit is only $35 and for me to keep the detailed records of the time I first make ontack with a customer would take so much time and effort which would stiffel our business growth. The proposed rule requires the disclosure of a minimum of 10 prior purchasers neares to the pospective purchaser. This makes no sence to me. With Identity theft, and customer privacy issues, I would feel very uncomfortable giving out private information about people I am helping to build a business. I don't have a problem giving a reference or two. I do agree there are many scams out there on the Internet and this ruling does nothing to stop them. This business is not one of those. The XanGo opporutunity is a family oriented Company with integrety to back it up. They really care about us and the growth of our families. Please do not penalize XanGo and the Distributors for a few bad programs that spoil it for others. I am proud to be an American and I support free enterprize and the pursuit of happieness to my family and others. Sincerely, Tim Mahoney
