We have been in the Quixtar/Amway business for close to 30 years; have accomplished goals thru the business, e.g. education for our children, security for the future (to replace lack of a pension), travel, quality of life, etc. and this has been thru hard work (never perceived this as a "get-rich quick" scheme) and always inform the new IBO of this. Get-rich quick schemes come and go as quickly as "night and day". We continue to have more goals. It would be a waste of our time and that of prospective IBOs if not enough info. is provided (we provide the SA4400). Besides today the Quixtar website provides the potential IBO with all there is to know about the Quixar business. A new IBO can register (give them choices) for either $60.00 or $125.00 (with some product samples) and it is all refundable. With regard to having to wait 7 days to enter the business would be saying "in the next 7 days go and find all the people who did not build a successful business" (that is usually their own fault due to LACK OF EFFORT) cause that is human nature & we are very thankful we did not have to take that path when we were entering the business. This certainly is "no gain" with a provision like this especially when everything is "refundable". There would definitely be negative economic impact with a rule such as this with very negative DUPLICATION.. Besides they are losing days on learning about this business which can be critical. We do encourage prospects to meet other IBOs - it is very positive - they find out there are people out there who have goals and are willing to work for them - in todays' society that is rare. On an earnings basis in the real world of self-employment & employment we have always felt this is a very personal issue so why would we be required to reveal that to someone we may have just became acquainted with possibly on referral basis. Certainly we let them know what we have been able to accomplish thru our business. The Quixtar business in our experience has always been operated on the highest level of integrity - this is why it has been in operation for over 50 years; carries a 100% money back guarantee on a majority of the products; propsed rules such as these would virtually eliminate the livelihood of many of the IBOs associated with Quixtar and the "dream of having your own business". Isn't that the essence of freedom.
