Dear FTC, I have been an IBO for 18 months now. Most of this time has been spent attending business meetings and functions so that I might learn the business and eventually be able to build my own independent franchise. My business associates and coaches have been dynamic at teaching me presentation techniques and information that helps me understand my own personality traits, weakness and strengths, methods of communicating with people and establishing relationships to build friendships and business relationships. As a full time employee with an independent construction company working 50 plus hours per week, building an independent business after those hours is tiring and takes extra energy and time. The proposed 7 day waiting period for new IBO's and business disclosures that you would require would dampen the spirit of the free enterprise that comes with our business. When I went to the meeting that opened my eyes to this business model I did not hesitate to grab the opportunity, The questions that I asked upon registration were eagerly answered and I was provided the information that would allow me to research further on the business web site. As IBO's come into our communities we are introduced to them at our meetings and functions and at that time we exchange our personnel information, email addresses, phone numbers etc. For other IBO's to be forced to give that information with out our prior knowledge is an infingement of our personal privacy, as our teams grow we provide the personel information so new IBO's may contact us for support and to obtain training materials. I understand the need to protect the public from the scams and cons that are arising in this ever changing and growing market place, unfortunately these people that have little regard for the law will continue with there schemes while legitimate business will have there hands tied by some of the proposals that you indicate would go into effect. At the age of 52, I find that time is of the utmost importance,as it seems to go by much faster, and my desire is to leave a legacy for my children and family so that they may continue to live a lifestyle befitting of the American dream after I have passed from this world. Our business offers a 100% money back guarantee if the customer is not satisfied. Our company also has a strict book of guidlines and if the line is crossed the corporation has pulled the IBO's number and they may no longer operate as a business owner. Thankyou for the opportunity to comment on this proposal and I would truly hope that the proposals will be modified as to not hamper the legitimate businesses that give us the opportunity to fulfill the American dream, to be truly free, by using a business model of free enterprise to enhance our financial positions and give us the free time to spend with our families and loved ones. Sincerely, Gerald Fischer, IBO, Quixtar/ Legacy Business Group
