June 17, 2006 Federal Trade Commission/Office of the Secretary Room H-135 (Annex W) 600 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW Washington, DC 20580 RE: Business Opportunity Rule, R511993 Dear Sir or Madam: I am writing out of concern for the proposed Business Opportunity Rule R511993. This rule will change and over regulate an All American industry that helps support our economy and make our nation great. Why should one segment of the business community be over regulated and other segments be not so regulated? This proposal will cause great hardship on hundreds of thousands of ordinary Americans who are trying to help themselves in these trying financial times. The waiting period would cast doubt on a collectively fine industry and cause much difficulty to the effective operation of the distributors business. The record keeping and reporting appear overly burdensome and difficult to understand. Disclosure of distributors names along with the names of prospective distributors exposes their identity to many other people and may result in identity theft and loss of personal security. Will this result in sexual harassment, rape and death to women involved in our industry. Why should that be chanced? Please give consideration to a withdrawal of this rule. It is not in the benefit of the American public, the economy or our nation. Respectfully, Dr and Mrs Barry Hitchcock
