I agree that rules need to be in place for direct selling I welcome them because it legitimizes my business; and exposes the ones who don't do business ethically and properly. However the proposed new rules will inhibit the business owners who conduct business with intergity and honesty. Quixtar and Amway has been a role model of how to do business the right way. The FTC has used these companies in the past as a model for other companies to follow and should continue to do this instead of impeading commerce which this country really needs. In closing I feel it is important to point out that this country was founded on individuals in business for themselves and training others as apprentiences to be in business for themselves. In the turn of the last century the workforce shifted to the large corporations. As we embark on a new century there is a shifting back to the individual to create income for their families, do not be a roadblock for the person who has the fortutude to have their own dream and to create something worthwhile for their family; and in turn helping other people to do the same.
