To Whom It May Concern: I am writing to give you my own personal experience in looking for a company to work with as a Independent Business Owner. I don't believe it is the Goverments responsibility or duty to see that I as a individual do my own investigation into a potential business opportunity for myself or my family. Our system of Free Enterprise takes care of all the problems. If you don't provide a good opportunity, goods or service you won't be in business very long. The system governs itself. I want to address a few of the main problems that have been proposed draft and my idea of solutions. Problem 1: Prospect would wait 7 days after receiving desclosures before they could register. Solution: If a Prospect is able to get his or her money back from a honest business opportunity the 7 day period seem useless and an necessary. Problem 2: You would be required to give every prospect a list of 10 IBO's in the area- 7 days before prospect registers. This is a infringement on the privacy of the IBO's Solutions: Eliminate the requirement to provide references. Problem 3: You would have to give every prospect a list of lawsuits, arbitration, and other legal claim for the past 10 yrs. involving Quixtar and it's IBO's. This can be found by any individual who does thier own homework about a company, you can find and good or bad information today on the internet. Solution: Eliminate the requirement to disclose past litigation. Problem 4: You would have to make a different disclosure for every income claim. Solutions: If you want disclosures, require a standard, easily understood disclosure like a average monthly gross income for active IBO's. Problem 5: You would be required to provide prospects with personal financial info to back up any income claims. Wow, this is not required in any other profession I know off. I haven't heard any doctor or lawyer tell a prospect that wants to go into those fields disclose what they make or earn. Solution: IBO"s should have info for the FTC and similar state agencies in an agency investigation. These are just some of my concerns. Allow the Free Enterprise System to work, it does a very good job of policing itself. I am proud to be a Independent Business Owner affiliated with the Altcor Quixtar Team, they set the standard for this industry many years ago and have always been leaders in doing the right things for it's Independent Owners. It is the duty of all us to present anyone looking for Business Ownership with the honest facts and let them do thier own homework. I have found that the direct sales industry (networking) is truly one of the few ways anyone can own thier own business today, let's not take that away from those looking.
