Charles and Lucy Fontenot  July 9, 2006 LETTER TO THE U.S. FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION We have been Independent Business Owners with Quixtar since its inception in 1999. As IBOs, we have been able to increase our monthly income to $500.00 to date and our next goal is to double that amount by December, 2006. The Quixtar business fits into our lifestyle perfectly as it allows us to earn as much money as we are willing to work for. It is not a get rich quick scheme and we teach this to others. The benefits other than income are many, the most important to us is being able to help other people help themselves. When we were initially registered as IBOs we received more than enough information to make an informed decision about whether or not to register. The same information is provided to new prospects. Our prospects fully understand that the Quixtar business opportunity is not a “get rich quick” plan, that hard work is required and that there are no guarantees of success. We spell this out very clearly to them before they are registered into the business. The U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s proposed ruling, if adopted, would significantly change the way we operate our business. For example: • Seven day waiting period for prospects to register – As people are educated, informed and very busy they do not want to wait. And if for some reason they did want to cancel their registration, this option is already built in to our system. This restriction would impose unfair burdens on an already integrous and legal business model and would slow the growth of our businesses. • List of References and Contact Information – Not necessary. If a prospective IBO is interested in references, they are already available through personal meetings of existing IBOs. • Listing of Legal Allegations – We don’t even have this information other than what is already provided for anyone by Quixtar on its website. • Financial Records disclosed to Prospects - This is inappropriate. Our financial records and other peoples’ financial records should be kept confidential. Thank you for your consideration. Charles and Lucy Fontenot
