Dear Commissioners, Some of the rules you are suggesting be used to govern our industry are very restrictive and will not be helpful to me as I build my business. As a 62 year old woman who works full time with a disabled husband, starting my own business wasn't possible, but, using Quixtar as a portal through which I can have a website, reach customers and potential business builders, has allowed me to participate in Free Enterprise in our great country. For that I am grateful. The World Wide Group, our training arm, has given me inexpensive access to fine books and wonderful motivational materials that have prepared me to march forward as a truly independent business owner. Associations with such motivators as John Maxwell and the Rev. Paul S. have inspired me to run an honorable business and offer only the best to those who would wish to join me. I was allowed ample time to make up my mind if I wanted to join my business associates and I do not think it is necessary to put a 7-day time restriction on signing up another person who wishes to try to find a new way to support themselves in their coming retirement years. I also do not think talking about law suits, etc., will accomplish anything but frighten people unnecessarily. I have never been required to 'quota', coerced into buying products I don't need, or been asked to spend money I do not have. My associates have been wonderful people and I want to say that making our industry harder to get involved with will not make the con men go away, but will just make it harder for me to bring in some extra money for my family. Thank you for reconsidering some of the wording in your rule to help make our industry stronger and more accessible for the many people who could use a way into the world of private business ownership. Sincerely, Kathy Purdy
