Sirs, My wife & I have been IBO's for 14 years. In that period of time we have seen a no. of biz opps come along that are no longer around. We believe your proposed rules carry some merit & we'll address each one individually. However an important point has to be made, Holding the Quixtar biz to standards that are so high so as to help consumers against Fraudulent biz opps would create a DRASTIC hardship to our & others thriving Legitimate business. The prudent part of the FTC should be to enforce the rules already in place & make co's starting up live up to those. Its like the immigration issue, start enforcing the laws already in place b4 you add any more. Directly because we treated this like a biz, it has given back great results. My wife left her job as a paralegal over 10 yrs ago because of the income this provides & it has allowed me to leave the workplace. We have been fulltime parents for years & the impact on our family is Extraordinary. We are up front & honest with people looking at our biz. Its a biz, treat it as such & it will work, don't & the results are predictable. No different then investing in any other biz & expecting it to work without effort. Our responses to the proposed rules are such: 1. When this came to us we were excited about possibilities. We wanted something to change in our lives. We recieved great info & left comfortable with what we saw & heard. We registered immediately. Were we 2nd guessing. Yes just like everyone. Had we had to wait 7 days b4 registering we possibly could have been talked out of it. Not because it is bad, however MOST people only have an OPINION not FACT & they wouldn't have helped. We look back & are so THANKFUL that a well intentioned ignoranat person didn't steal our dream. You would have to have a day in our life to know how blessed we are because of this biz. We provide the info to new folks like we were given. Today we give them better info then we got. Thats natural though. Things get better over time. The average person is going to invest from $100. to $300. to "get started". While thats not a lot it is enough for people to have an investment so that they'll take some ownership & not treat this as a hobby. ALL of it is Refundable within the first 6 months. Can you do that with a McDonalds or any other biz? 2. The waiting period. We are the pro's with the knowledge. Unless someone has actually built this then they only have an opinion & cannot give ANYONE good advice. How many folks will NEVER get an opportunity if they wait 7 days? The proposed rule penalizes those of us as pro's & rewards those with opinions to do irreparable harm. In addition with how fast our biz grows today, most people coming on board start immed. with fam & friends whom generally start sometimes at the same time. That would severly hurt. Unfortunely we live in a microwave society & our plan helps them get SOME microwave results, but long term SUCCESS still is done in Crock Pot time. Thats what our training system helps with. 3 Providing a list of other IBOs would not be good advice. We make it VERY clear w/ new folks. You'll succeed at your speed. You may go faster or slower then someone. ITS YOUR biz not theirs. Base it upon you & your goals. We also believe that it would be a detriment in releasing "personal" information. 4 Everyone gets suied today for the smallest of issues. Does McDonalds submit a list of lawsuits when you buy a meal? Its really immaterial unless it was something of true substance that would put someone in harms way. 5th Specific earnings. Again your dealing with individuals. EVERYONES goals are separate. We allready provide the FTC sanctioned SA4400 to EVERYONE. If they haven't accepted the income by time they read that, then anything else is overkill & wasted expenditures. Close Everything your trying to do is also a detriment to someone new. They will pay the ultimate price by not rapidly getting the results needed for them to BELIEVE it will work. Thanks
