I am concerned about how your proposed rules will affect my business. I have been with the Quixtar company since it began and I have been able to create a business which supports our household. Currently, I have no other source of income and I am frightened about what you are trying to do. Many of your proposals are simply not practical. For instance, waiting 7 days before people can become IBOs will cause my entire business to slow down because the new IBOs won't be able to register people right away and therefore won't see any income for a longer period of time. We have found that it is important that they are able to see success within the first month and most of them expect to see immediate success by registering people within a few days of getting started. However, this rule isn't the biggest concern for me. I'm really feeling offended that you would think it was reasonable to force people to show their income to complete strangers. I feel like that is a gross violation of my privacy. Basically you are saying that if I want to continue in my business, I have to give everyone my most private information. WOW! Can that be legal? Another one of my biggest concerns is the requirement for references in the prospect's area. By doing this, you would limit me to only the areas that I am in right now. How could I expand my business into new states if I cannot give them any references to contact in their area. One of the greatest assets of our business is the ability to build it wherever you go. If this rule goes into effect, I won't be able to move to Florida because I won't be able to continue my business there. I will be forever tied to the area that I have current IBOs in. Another problem with this rule is that other people will want to give my name and phone number out to their prospects. I can't even imagine what that will do to my home life. My phone rings off the hook now, I don't want to be forced to have to answer calls from complete strangers and use a lot of my time on answering their questions. I'm sure that nobody will want their names on this list because it will become such a problem for everyone. If you actually do put this awful rule into effect, it would be a complete disaster for my business and my income. Nobody wants this invasion of their privacy. I'm not sure why you feel it is necessary to put any of these rules into effect when it only costs about $250.00 for a person to get all of the things they need to start their business and they can get a full refund if they change their mind within a few weeks. We already give them paperwork that shows the average income for IBOs and outlines everything that they will need to do to have success in our business before we register them. There is absolutely nothing about the business hidden from them, they know that if they want to succeed, they will have to put some time and effort into it. It isn't by any stretch a get rich quick scheme. My business is a legitimate business that I am very proud of. Because I have been able to build it, I can stay home with my children and work together with my husband. My lifestyle is so much better than it was when I worked a "traditional" job. I beg you to consider long and hard before you make any rules that will so drastically affect so many people's incomes and chance at being free from a boss and an alarm clock.
