My husband and I have had a business affiliation with the Alticor Corp. first thru Amway and now through Quixtar for the past 30+ years. It has been our major source of income for all these years. We cannot say enough about the integrity of this company! At no time during the last 30 years have we or the thousands of people who have been a part of our organization through the years had a negative experience with the corporation. It has been just the opposite. The Amway/Quixtar Corp. curtomer service is unparalled in the business world. We have never hesitated to share this business with our family and friends because we know that they won't get hurt in any way. The proposed rules you are considering would have a very negative affect on our business. !) The 7 day waiting period will be a huge detriment in recruiting new associates. Because one can recruit another who in turn can recruit another, etc. we could be talking weeks and even months before a new IBO could establish a business that generates income. As it is now, a new member can be profitable the first month in business. 2) The requirement to provide references to contact in their area before they make a decision is frankly ludicrous! First, our business is all over the U.S., not just in our local area. Some associates live in small towns where there aren't other IBOs. In many cases, these referrals would have to be in someone else's organization of which we have no knowledge. They could very easily try to sway the prospect into joining them and create a confrontational situation between business owners which does not exist now thanks to Quixtar's protection of our individual businesses. We are independent contractors and having to share our personal experiences, income, etc. is an invasion of our privacy. I don't know of any company or individual who must show proof of their income to prospective employees or business prospects. When we present this business plan to a prospective member, the average monthly income paid to IBOs according to Quixtar is shown to them. As we tell people, this will be your business to do as much or as little as you wish with it. There are no quotas. We will help you to achieve YOUR goals. We support your efforts to eliminate scams, unfair business practices, etc., but not to destroy a whole industry and affect the lives and incomes of so many who are out to HELP others improve their lives financially and otherwise.
