I am very concerned about this proposed Business Opportunity Rule R511993 because I believe it does not protect the comsumer or business. 1) The 7-day wait period gives the impression of potential harm and is unfair to business and to the buyer. It has no practical value to anyone. (And I have been on both sides of this as a seller and a buyer) 2) A requirement of disclosure of litigation information would be completely impossible in the world of today. How would I as a direct seller obtain all such information? How would I learn of every and all relavant legal case pending before the court or those litigated? This doesn't occurr when you purchase at Sears, McDonalds, Target, Ford, GM, etc. 3) A requirement of 10 prior purchasers is a violation of the privacy of the purchaser. Who says that an individual wants everyone or anyone to know what they buy, and from who they buy? If they choose to release that information, that is their right but the government should not force that information to be released! It is very disturbing to think that the government through it's efforts to protect the consumer, would intefere and disable those like me who are hard working, tax paying and VOTING citizens who are trying to make a honest living and to have the right to buy from any one I choose. I understand that there are many, many unreputable direct sales companies but you are hurting the many good and honest companies with this proposed rule. Respectfully submitted, Carol Walker
