The desire to clean up the industry is admirable and worthy, but it must be done in a responsible and sensible manner. The proposed ideas are not "just" for the current busines' that "play by the rules". Making someone wait seven days in order to sponsor/register someone is not necessary when you have a complete buy back policy in effect. This would only serve to slow momentum and put doubt in someones mind. "Why must I wait seven days to move forward with this project, is there something wrong with the program." As far as obtaining references, this is to subjective and not based on facts. What people put into these businesses is generaly what they get out. They will always try to justify their own lack of effort by using rationalizations that ease there own consciences at the expence of others who worked earnestly with a high amount of integrity. In quixtar, you are an independant business owner, and you many times different organizations within itself operate with a similiar guideline, but use a different pattern or approach. This too would not make references very viable. In regards to income substatiation, my wife and I have been in the business for 15 years and we are not heavy income earners, but we have benifited in many ways that a new person may not quite understand and view our business negatively. Thus, never getting started and missing out on the experience. Also, I took a break from any activity while I did six years serving in the military. Now that I want to get started again this would hinder my chances of moving to higher levels, because someone might make a decision based on what I did instead of what they can do. Today, more than ever, people feel that their real shot at getting rich is to sue someone. That is the new "get rich quick scheme" that needs to be analyzed and monitored. Think about other business' and try to apply the same rules to them and this economy would crumble. It wouldn't make sense. Stores, restaurants, etc. couldn't survive if they had to wait seven days to do business, put a litgation list on their door, or follow the other strangleholds the FTC proposes. Why do it to us to appease "axgrinders" that were just too lazy to swing the ax or admit that they weren't willing to. Thank you for taking this into consideration. Sincerely, Tim Dempsey
