While I greatly appreciate the FTC's desire to quell business scams, I hope alterations will be made to this draft as to not hinder my family's legitimate direct selling business. I know that is your goal and I hope this feeback helps. Please note that my business is a competitive business and supplying names and addresses of other business owners is tantamount to asking McDonald's to supply a map to all the area Burger King's and Wendy's - each provides a similar service with a different approach, as do the business owners in our business. Please remove this requirement - perhaps replace it with demonstrating Better Business Bureau approval? I understand the requirement to wait seven days, I believe the intention is to let prospects sleep on the matter and make a good decision rather than react to hype. In my business we simply refuse to register anyone until they have met with us on at least two occasions and preferably three. And on top of that the entire cost of their registration ($70) plus any of the optional products or training materials they chose to purchase are refundable up to six months. A moneyback gaurantee seems much more efficient than punishing the prospects by witholding days they could be generating an income. Think of it as a career fair... only you can't offer them a job for seven days. I can imagine if the Armed Forces had to wait seven days for people to sign their papers... I do support an FTC seal of approval on documentation required to be given to prospects before their registering. We currently use a document distributed throughout the business to ensure that each prospect is shown the same facts about this business, to ensure they understand it is a business that takes 3-5 years to grow, as do most businesses, and is not something that will make people rich over night. Thank you for taking this feedback under consideration. Jared Fritz
