I agree that prospects should be well informed before commiting to any business proposal. Income potential should be revealed honestly and openly. I disagree with the 7 day waiting period. As long as there is a reasonable period of time in which a new business owner can change his/her mind and receive a full refund, the waiting period is not necessary and will certainly have a negative effect on our business. I also disagree with having to give the prospect a list of business references or having to disclose my personal income. It is a well known fact that one business owner's income will not affect what another can make. Belief and hope in one's future is such an important element in anyone's success. As long as the prospect is told that the income is potential and depends upon his/her efforts, and is not guaranteed, then it is not necessary for my personal income to be revealed. No business is required to reveal the personal income of its employees when interviewing potential workers. I applaud your efforts to protect potential business owners. At the same time I hope you will consider the hardships that these three proposed rules will have on the millions of independent business owners. Thant you.
