I am writing to express my concern over the proposed business opportunity rule. I own a small business with Market America, and I've just started. What I love about it is the fact that I'm able to do this in my spare time (while working a full time job and going to law school), and earn a little extra money to help me pay for law school. This proposed regulation is unduly burdensome, and requires the collection of new documentation on a frequent basis. When I decided to take on this business, I researched it thoroughly. I knew that the people that wanted to recruit me stood to gain financially, and therefore I sought outside information. I think it's important that all potential distributors research and find out all they want to know about a potential business opportunity. However, I don't believe it is proper for a governmental body to impose such harsh restrictions.
