I am writing to express my opposition to the proposed FTC Rule511993. I have been a Shaklee distributor for 26 years and have depended on my income for many years from Shaklee. The company and the distributors operate with the utomost integrity. The small investment to become a Shaklee Distributor of $19.95 is reasonable and fair and to require a waiting period for activation of a new person is simply unreasonable. In fact, to join Costco one pays much more than that and the membership is activated immediately. To require a waiting period would impose a hardship on current and future distributors. In fact, since Shaklee guarantees all products and has done so now for 50 years, it would seem totally unnecessary to place such a restriction on our way of doing business.
