The propsed rule for U.S. business opportunities should create an equal playing field using clear and simple income disclosures. People have to be responsible for checking out opportunties for themselves, as long as the information is available. That is what we did before we signed up in Quixtar. Setting up a site like the BBB for direct sellers would be a good resource to refer to. There should not be IBO references or financial records disclosed because everyone is different and this would not provide a good representation. I feel that direct selling opportunities enable people to work at their own speed, time and committment. You can't share this information with anyone else because it does not apply. I agree to a reasonable cancellation policy. I don't want my business impacted by ' one-size-fits-all' rules. This is what free enterprise is all about, being able to decide for myself what opportunity is best for me. I don't want to be presented or present to another person interested in the business, disclosures that do not relate to them. Asking for references is not appropiate. When you apply for a job, you don't get references of current employees, so why would we need them here? Cordially, Teresa
