Dear Sir or Madam: I am writing this letter because I am very concerned about the proposed Business Opportunity Rule R511993. I think in its present form it could very well prevent me and many on my team from continuing or being successful in direct sales with lia sophia Fashion Jewelry. I understand that your role is to protect the public from deceptive acts on the part of a few deceptive people out there, but in the long run, you will be hurting many many more of us who run respectable businesses. I left the corporate world after 30 years for an easier and more stress free life. I have found this with direct sales. I have been very successful in working with other women who were also looking for a source of income and the ability to support their families and still have lots of home time with their families. I feel the proposed changes would dramatically alter this. It will put up road blocks that many will not want to deal with. The idea of having to give out names of previous purcharsers to me violates privacy issues. In this day of identity theft, I would be very uncomfortable in giving our any information on my clients. The entire process would be way too combursome and time consuming. I appreciate the work that the FTC does to protect consumers, however, I believe this proposed new rule has many unintended consequences and there are less burdensome alternatives available to achieving your goals. Thank you for your time and consideration of my comments, Respectfulle, Kathryn Harris Division Manager
