I strongly and whole heartedly oppose your proposed Business Opportunity Rule regulation. As an entrepreneur and responsible independent marketing executive with a reputable company in the Network Marketing industry (over 20 years old and doing $700 million in sales annually), I feel your proposed very broad regulation will do more harm than good. The people who are scamming aren't going to care about the regulations, and the average person won't even know about these regulations, so I believe this ANTI-BUSINESS rule will squash the "good" network marketers. Basically, you are attempting to penalize everyone, not just the ones who are practicing illegal or bad business practices. Sharing a downline's personal contact information, the company's "refund" percentage and even the lawsuits against the company are privacy violations and safety issues as well. I agree that lawsuits against a company are important to consider, but merely having been sued is NOT the same as having been found guilty. Your proposal does not distinquish between this. I believe that giving mine or anyone else's personal information to potential prospects, is not only irresponsible, but downright dangerous.
