My wife and I have been IBO's for over 4 years and plan on this business opportunity to be our only source of income in the future. We know that you are trying to protect us and eliminate business scams with these new rules, however, some of these rules may be a large burden on us to reach new levels and make more money...they will ultimately slow the entire process down. Momentum is a great strength in the business world and I do believe if the process is slowed down we would definitely lose that. When my wife and I were sponsored in the business we received plenty of information and were very pleased with the whole process. If we had to wait seven days before we could sign up, we may have never become a part of the incredible opportunity. It would also cost a lot of money to have to wait since many businesses are not local and it would mean we would have to drive back and forth several times. Then there is the rule about providing references...this could cause serious problems since many people would not want their information given out to other people, including me, especially with all the telemarketing we already have to deal with. Also, what if one of the references was a friend of theirs and they choose to sign up under them even though the friend did not contact them before me? This does not seem fair. Then the requirement to provide a litigation list: does Walmart have to post every lawsuit against them at the door before a customer walks in? How is this any different? And how relevant are these all of the lawsuits that have been filed...some of them may have no merrit whatsoever, but it could place a big seed of doubt in our prospects mind of the integrity of our corporation. And as far as the requirement for financial substantiation...I don't believe it is someone elses right to know how much money I do or don't make no matter what arena. What if they are more ambitious than me? My income has nothing to do with that and they could make much more than I do at the present time; different circumstances could come into play here also. Thank you for listening to our opinions on the matter and hopefully they will help in redefining what the new rules should be to truly help people out there who want a different stream of income.
