I am writing in regards to the proposed changes in the DIrect Marketing arena. I have been in direct marketing for the past 6 years. I have never lost any money and have never been coorced into things. Rather, upstanding businesses allow opportunity for people to finally make what they are worth or to even make ends meet. It allows ME to raise my children instead of day care. American tax payers will not pay for my children on welfare or in the Correctional system. My products improve people's lives and help them to get off over-prescribed medications which are draining our Health Care system. How would you feel to have your personal information open to the public? My family and I can be in danger. How am I supposed to find the 10 closest contacts next to me? And do you really want to spend the man-power to police that? Most upstanding Companies have 100% money back product guarantees. If people change their mind or don't like the products, no problem. We are legitimate business people trying to help our families... not rip people off. We are an inteligent society who can decide if we want these products or services for ourselves. Why is that the Government's business? These proposals shed a grim light on an industy that thrives on relationships and helping each other. My team gives me constant encouragement and leadership training skills; something I never got from Corporate America. A 7-day waiting period will not only become a nightmare to keep track of, but people have a right to choose. You are insinuating that our "products and services" are more dangerous for us than buying a gun.... PLEASE... Who are you trying to protect? This is the United States. We stand for freedom. Please don't take that away from us. You are truly holding a proposal that will be impacting millions of honest, hard-working people who are trying to make a better life for their families. Sincerely, Kristen Whetzel
