R511993-devastating impact on direct sales industry. Will wipe out legitimate industries having over 13.6 million individuals to start their own home-based business. I need my own home-based business since I am a 24 hr-caregiver for my husband who had a MASSIVE stroke and I need to work from home. I appreciate your efforts for trying to protect us but this rule unfairly targets legitimate direct selling business and the "crooks" would get around almost any rule. I have a problem with the 7-day waiting period since it would cast a negative light on us, involve extra record keeping and unnecessary delays. This is impractical Please do not eliminate the $500 business threshold: we should not be subject to the rule since a sales kit expense is very minor--maybe $35 to $50 usually and that is minimal. Litigation reporting is unfair in that it does not distinguish between winning and losing lawsuits. Difficult to collect earnings claims and targeted "bad actors" will not provide accurate data while legitimate companies will. It will also be very difficult to find "10 nearest existing sales people"--This will create privacy and safety issues and possible corporate liability for ID theft, etc. Please exempt the under $500 companies. Thanks so much for all your help in helping us succeed with a home-based business. I need to be successful badly
