I am writing in regard to the proposed Business Opportunity Rule, R511993. While I fully respect the idea behind this ruling, I feel that is is going to hurt small businesses like my own, and more specifically, me. Stipulating a 7 day waiting period after I have spend a week or more, grooming an individual, sharing scientific validation and other pertanent documentation to them, will pretty much negate all of my efforts. The individual required to wait the 7 days, will possibly set the application aside, and forget all about it. I will need to do further bookwork, and travel, to follow up in the 7 days, taking more time gas and energy. I am very passionate about the product I represent, and the company that has brought it to market with a great deal of thought and investigation. This product has given me the opportunity to work from home, and no longer stand on my feet for 8 hours a day. I suffer from FM, Arthritis, Chrones Disease and other minor ailments. Now I have much less down time, and am able to take Foster children into my home, offering another valued service to my community. Without my home-based business, I would not be able to do this. It has taken me 3 years with this company to get to this point, and I fear if this ruling goes through as suggested, it will greatly jeapordize my livelyhood and health. In addition to the 7 day waitng period be detrimental to my business, I feel the elimination of the $500 business threshold would complicate things even further, by clumping a little business like mine in with someone purchasing a McDonalds, or a beauty store chain. I can't begin to do business as they do. As far as identifying the 10 nearest sales people, I can't even begin to want to know how to invade peoples personal information to learn if they are Home-bsed business owners. Please reconsider this ruling as it will definitely hurt little people like myself. Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter.
