Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to voice my concern and opposition to the proposed new rule on business opportunities. The company I am affiliated with adheres strictly to all current federal law and regulations and to the regulations of the DSA as well, of which they are a member. If passed, this new rule is quite capable of ruining my business and the businesses of thousands of honest, hard-working Americans. The small minority of scam artists, crooks, scumbags, etc. who use the veil of business opportunities to fleece people, will continue to do so no matter how many laws are passed in the name of stopping them. However, new requirements, particularly the draconian ones outlined in the proposed rule, will only hurt the average network marketer who is simply building the American Dream - owning their own business. In my own case, the little I do earn also helps to care for an elderly parent. How many others would be vicariously effected should this rule be passed? I urge you to put this to rest and let those of us who operate according to the law continue to do so without excessive interference from government. Sincerely, Peter Harrington
