I am writing this letter because I am very concerned about the proposed Business Opportunity Rule R511993. I believe that this rule will destroy the small business that I have worked so hard to build and operate as an Independent Distributor with XanGo™, LLC. I have worked hard for almost 2 years now to build this small, part-time business that I love. I have a wonderful product in XanGo™ and am overjoyed to be able to share it with others. Many of the people I have shared XanGo™ with are also operating their XanGo™ businesses on a part time basis, and they, as am I, are very dependent on this income every month. Please don’t destroy what we have worked so hard to build. Some of the sections in the proposed Rule 511993 would make it very difficult and nearly impossible for me to sell the XanGo™ product and introduce others to this tremendous opportunity. Changing to the new rules would devastate the growth and profit potential of the business I operate. The proposed waiting period will give the general public the idea that there’s something wrong with the XanGo™ business plan or me personally. I have always been an honest, law-abiding citizen and this rule will reflect poorly on me. I believe this seven-day waiting period is unnecessary, because XanGo™ already has a 100% total money-back guarantee in place for any new enrollee within the first 30 days in business. The current procedures in place by XanGo™ already ensure that no one can ever be hurt financially by the XanGo™ business opportunity. One of the most troublesome sections of the proposed rule is the seven day waiting period to enroll a new distributor. The XanGo™ sales kit only costs $35. People purchase many items on a daily basis that cost much more than that and they don’t have to wait seven days. Under this waiting period requirement, I will need to keep very detailed records when I first speak to a prospect and will then have to send in reports to my company. I'm operating a small home-based business because it is not very time-consuming and troublesome. Requiring me to do excessive and unnecessary paperwork will take up the small amount of time that I have to work this business. One of the reasons I joined this awesome company is because they take care of most of the burdensome paperwork for me. I do not have the time that these proposed new rules would require of me. These proprosed new rules would destroy my business. The XanGo™ business opportunity is designed to allow the average person the ability to work part-time with potentially signicant income. I am single and I count on this income to supplement my full time job. Please don't destroy this for me and all the other people who are working hard building the US economy. The proposed rule requires the disclosure of a minimum of 10 prior purchasers nearest to the prospective purchaser. As a single female, I am very uncomfortable giving out the personal information of individuals to total strangers. This rule could really hurt people, but I believe women, in particular, could be singled out and subjected to stalking or even sexual harassment. I hope you will think this through clearly before taking action. You will be opening a huge can of worms. I'm also don't believe it's good business practice to share the names and addresses of existing customers or distributors with a "prospect”. This is only going to enable the non law-abiding people who already violate the rules. This proposed rule R511993 will hurt me and all the other law-abiding distributors that are trying to make an honest buck. XanGo™ LLC already has procedures in place to protect anyone from loss of money and/or time and credibility. We already have a 100% money-back guarantee within the first 30 days of purchase. Please don't place XanGo™, LLC in the same category as the bad guys. Go after them, please, but leave the good guys alone! I love representing XanGo™, LLC because they represent everything that is good and honest. I am proud to be a distributor of this great company and hope that you don't place unnecessary burdens on me and other honest independent distributors with these proposed changes. Please re-think these proposed changes and do what is right for the little guy who is working hard to build an honest business and the US economy. Thank you for your time and attention to this letter. Sincerely, Pam Elvestad
