Dear FTC, This concern of yours regarding Network Marketing Companies does not surprise me, but I am hoping that you will listen to the recommendations of Quixtar’s IBOA which is at Quixtar to represent us IBO’s around the U.S.A. About a year ago I was approached by a multilevel marketing company to become a distributor of their product. A telephone service. They asked me for $750 to get started, but because of my experience in Quixtar, I asked "Why is it so expensive"? Answer "I (The person talking to me said) get to keep $500 because I registered you." I asked "What kind of guarantee do you have on the business?" Answer "None" Needless to say the conversation ended, but the person did ask me one question and I smiled "Are you in the Quixtar Business?" I said "No, but my business is powered by Quixtar." My suggestion to the FTC is to insure that every business has a written guarantee just like Quixtar has. That one rule, would wipe out more than half of the illegitimate scams on the market today. You require companies to show a written 90day or 180day (like Quixtar) 100% money back guarantee, and most of your illegitimate Multi-level companies would blow away! I am so proud to be a Quixtar IBO Independent Business Owner. Proud of their business guarantee, product guarantee, and service guarantee. There is no other company that takes care of its IBO’s or Clients like Quixtar. Quixtar's marketing plan is the most honest form of business for an independent business owner to use that I have ever seen. We firmly support any suggestions made by the IBOAC Independent Business Owners Association of which we are a member through our Quixtar Business to you there at the FTC. Since starting our business in 1999, we have followed all the Quixtar rules, honored the 6 month business guarantee, and explained the complete business plan as recommended by the Quixtar corporation and our business mentors. We have seen people succeed, seen people quit during the 6 months (get all their money back), and seen others just wait for the right time to build their businesses. Quixtar has brought a future to many that would of never had a future if not for the Quixtar marketing plan which promotes honesty and good business ethics and even friendships in other countries. Thousands of handicapped are able to have a life thanks to this business and the opportunities it offers. My wife and I sincerely hope you will look seriously at the recommendations of the IBOA comments before you make any changes that would restrict our business since we already have guarantees in place to protect the new business owner. The one thing that has always impressed me is the fact that we do not make any money as mentors unless we help the new business owner to succeed. This is a great business. Please do not change it.
