This is concerning a new,"Trade Regulation Rule on Business Opportunities." I have been an Independent Business Owner with Quixtar for almost four years. The golas that I have been able to meet so far have allowed me to move to Fort Worth,Texas to be with family. Being able to transfer anywhere in North America as an Independent Business Owner with Quixtar has helped my mom and brother tremendiously.I have been able to care for my mom during her medical emergencies, and also help her care for my physically and mentally handicapped brother. My next goal is to be completely debt free with total control of time and money in my life. With my Quixtar business I am able to work from home, this creates a better lifestyle to tend to my families needs. The benefits as an IBO are incredible.Qixtar offers support, mentorship, encouragement, friendship, guidance, success, integrity, teaching morals and values of great leadership from other successful IBOs. When I registered with Quixtar,I received enough information to make an informed decision to become an IBO.When I sponsor others,I provide the same kind of information with them, that was shared with me.My prospects understand that the Quixtar business opportunity is not a,"get rich quick,"plan. Time, persistance, effort, goals setting, personal mentorship, and following a success plan that other IBOs have used already to help us succeed. Anything of value takes time to build. We create a solid foundation to help others succeed with their Quixtar business. This is called duplication and teaching from successful Quixtar Independent Business Owners.Prospects typically spend around fifty one dollars and fifty cents to register with Quixtar, become licensed as a business owner, and an IBO number. If they decide to leave the business, the initial investment of fifty one dollars and fifty cents is refunded to them.My Independent Business would be affected in a negative way if prospects had to wait seven days before registering as an IBO.This would hold back new IBOs from sharing Quixtar's business model to their friends and family.Prospects can get their money back if not satisfied. If we are required to give every prospect a list of,"references,"-the names, addresses, and phone numbers of ten other IBOs in the area-seven days before the prospect rgisters. This requirement would infringe on the privacy of every IBO whose name, address, and phone numbers was provided to prospects. It would also penalize the sponsor, who would be required to give his or her prospect contact information for ten other IBOs,any of when called might be happy to register the prospect themselves.Having to give every prospect a list of all lawsuits, arbitrations,or other legal claims for the past ten years involving Quixtar or its IBOs where the plantiff alleged fraud, misrepresentation,or unfair trade practices-regardless of whether or not the accusation was true. Among other problems, this requirement would open up Quixtar and other legitimate companies to false accusations.Meanwhile, dishonest companies would simply ignore the rule. Having to make a differantdisclosure for every income claim,if disclosures are needed, require a simple, standard, easily understood disclosure such as the one listed now as,"average monthly gross income for 'active' IBOs."Having to be required to provide prospects with personal financial documents to back up ("substantiate") any income claim. IBOs should possess substantiation for any claim but should not be required to disclose it except when required by the FTC and similar State agencies in an agency investigation.Prospects are always encouraged to meet other IBOs in my group when they register. This works by having four major business funtions per year and a monthly merchandise clinic at my active uplines house. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, Brian Davis
