I have been an IBO for 3 years. I had the opportunity to ask many questions, and do whatever research I desired before making my decision to become an IBO. I was never told I would get rich within a very short period of time, and that is one of the reasons I decided to join. The honesty of the company that states, "If you want to work hard, and make this business work for you, you can do it in between 2-5 years." To me, that says, I have the opportunity, but if I do not work to make it happen, then I have no-one to blame but myself. I continue to pass this information on to all prospective business owners, and they can decide then how hard they wish to work for themselves. This is unlike corporate America where everyone gets paid the same for the same job, no matter if they are a dedicated worker or not. Another area of concern is the need to provide income information. I work at a job that is a privately owned large business and they are not required to disclose financial information to the public to get people to come work for them, so why should we as a private business owner have to disclose financial information to have people come to work for themselves. This business gives the opportunity to purchase items that are used every day around the house as well as gifts, travel, and insurance at a discounted price while getting a small reimbursement for buying from your own business. This is what I share with my prospects. If they wish to continue to shop at stores other than their own, then that is their decision and there is no push. This business has allowed me to meet some wonderful, hard working people and given me a more positive outlook for the possibility that I too can see my dreams come true, just like our forefathers and many other small family business owners. The initial investment is much smaller than owning a large franchise, and 75 percent of the investment is products that they will use. Please don't make changes that would prohibit others from having the same chance. People's dreams are shattered too easily, and the negativism in America today prevents many people from taking the chance to do the best they can. Being with other business owners who share that same dream helps to build determination, and if prospects have to wait 7 days before registering, many won't because of negativism or others who have tried, but were too lazy to make it work and then blame their failure on everyone else.
